Opening with 177 galleries in 2023, more than 2022 and about 75 less than 2019. Art Basel Hong Kong Initial sales are reported as strong and auction house Phillips joined Christies and Sothebys opening a new headquarter in Hong Kong.
This year saw a rise in gallerists being present in the booth, whereas the past there were 3rd parties hired to be present on the Floor(David Zwirner).
