ARCO Lisboa 2023 is a contemporary art fair that will take place in Lisbon, Portugal from May 25 to 28, 2023. The fair will feature a wide range of contemporary art from around the world, including paintings, sculptures, photography, and video art. The fair will be held at the Cordoaria Nacional de Lisboa, a historic building that was once used as a rope factory. The building has been renovated and converted into a modern art space. The fair will feature over 100 galleries from 20 countries, including Portugal, Spain, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Brazil.
In addition to the galleries, ARCO Lisboa will also feature a number of special exhibitions and events. These include a solo exhibition by the Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos, a group exhibition on the theme of “The Body,” and a series of talks and workshops.

ARCO LISBOA MAKING OF SAFE SPACE I FIDEL ÉVORA
Safe Space by Fidel Évora exposes the hidden world behind consumerism, shedding light on the invisible workers who support it. Évora’s art at ARCO Lisboa2023 confronts the disconnect between wealth and labor, reminding us of the forgotten workers who create the comfortable world we inhabit. This series pays tribute to their presence and challenges our society’s ignorance.
- Joana Vasconcelos solo exhibition: This exhibition will feature a selection of works by the Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos. Vasconcelos is known for her large-scale, sculptural works that often incorporate everyday objects.
