ZONAMACO MODERN ART
This section will exhibit historical pieces by international artists focusing on Latin America, and works produced mainly during the first half of the 20th century. Curator: Esteban King Álvarez (Mexico, 1986) is a researcher and curator of Modern and Contemporary art. He holds a BA in History and a Master’s degree in Art History at UNAM. From 2012 to 2015 he served as Curator and Head of research at the Museo Universitario del Chopo; and from 2015 to 2019 as curator of the ESPAC.

ZONAMACO EJES
EJES present dialogues between artists, examining themes such as the construction of new identities, body configurations, the transitional spaces between the private and the public, and the new visualities of the Caribbean and African diaspora. The section is committed to presenting young galleries, hybrid and transdisciplinary projects, and artistic practices that reflect society’s “here and now”. Curator: Direlia Lazo (Havana, 1984) Direlia Lazo is an independent curator based in Miami.
