The Florida Prize in Contemporary Art, hosted by the Orlando Museum of Art, celebrates the forefront of artistic innovation in the state. Each year, ten exceptional artists from Florida are selected by the museum’s curatorial team to participate in the prestigious exhibition. These artists, ranging from emerging talents to established mid-career creators, demonstrate remarkable artistic achievements on national and international stages. Through their thought-provoking and visually captivating works, they explore profound ideas in art and culture. The Florida Prize, now in its ninth edition, highlights OMA’s commitment to supporting and showcasing the vibrant art scene within our state. A $20,000 award, generously sponsored by Gail and Michael Winn, awaits the deserving recipient.
