Photography documenting the making and exhibiting of hutchinsonandpartners `Fragments`.
`Fragments` is the study of seven different buildings of seven different scales and seven different typologies. By keeping each fragment the same 1:33 scale, and a dimension of 600mm (w) x 600mm (l) x 600mm (h) the proportion of the fragment of each building reduces in size as the scale of the project increases. The models are built from one material and are paired back to only express the figure ground of aperture and form.
Individually, each fragment is a distillation of the contextually driven architectural character and form of each project, whilst collectively the fragments provide an opportunity to examine the architectural language and approach that unifies and defines our body of work across all scales and typologies.
The models have been exhibited at Clerkenwell Design Week, the London Festival of Architecture and the Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibition.

From exquisite furniture and mesmerising lighting to beautiful textiles, surfaces, and flooring, we had the opportunity to draw inspiration from visionary creatives who are set to reshape the future of contemporary design.

Introducing AYA - a new furniture range for agile working – designed by Foster + Partners Industrial Design in collaboration with leading British furniture maker madebybenchmark.
The collection, which launched at ClerkenwellDesignWeek, includes the AYA standing and conference tables, as well as the AYA high stool. All pieces are made from solid sustainably sourced FSC British grown ash and embrace variation of character to minimise waste. They are designed to be easily disassembled for repair and are finished with natural oils to facilitate refurbishment, allowing them to be in use for several lifetimes.
“We are delighted to unveil this new range, which has been developed in close collaboration with Benchmark. AYA responds to the evolving nature of the workplace and allows for more agile working scenarios. Today we`re on a Pluck day out to clerkenwelldesignweek a design event that has a very special place in our hearts, as it was here in 2016, under the brick arches of St James`s Church crypt in the British Collection, that we launched Pluck!
Here`s a look at some of our stands that followed through the years (all in the same spot!)...feeling nostalgic about what has happened since then - all the beautiful kitchens we`ve made, working with our wonderful clients, interior designers and architects, new furniture designs and colours, growing our lovely team, the changing shape of Pluck HQ and of course nurturing a very special Instagram community.

A studio update this Wednesday, as mid-year is always one of those testing points for “work-life” balance ☺️
Last week we returned to project Battersea with Pine_London so will share the edited shots with you shortly, but a thank you to Zeynep for this shot of yours truly!
We are full throttle on the design of our 5-bedroom residential in Highbury, with the first phase works looking to start in September - and our brave clients will be living through it so much clever planning is required but in the safe hands of delano_london
Meanwhile, our Parsons Green is inching towards the finish line (we’ve been sharing on site progress on our stories), and we are excited to see the 14 pieces of bespoke joinery be installed throughout the house over the next few weeks, along with the gorgeous lighting from bellafiguralighting.
Lastly, just last week we agreed the interior design on a beautiful Islington family home which I am thrilled about. I’m looking forward to sharing the scheme inspiration and progress with you.

I explored Old Sessions House during clerkenwelldesignweek and was not disappointed! The interiors are very similar to the sessionsartsclub restaurant which is housed on the other side. The space has cool, calm feel. The mix of modern and traditional makes it very welcoming. I especially love the old fashioned light switches and gold foil lettering 💛

Really enjoyed wandering around the exhibitions at Clerkenwell Design Week on my lunch break. Brands and designers were housed in some very cool venues, such as the Old Sessions House and the dungeons of the old Clerkenwell Prison.
I loved the distressed walls and the gorgeous domed roof in the recently renovated Grade II listed building old_sessions_house. As well as the art and mix of Soho Home furniture with other brands. Also there was chelsomlighting with some great installations and lighting designs.
Other highlights for me were the pastel tiles from grestectiles and bespoke rugs from holmesbespoke. As well the amazing chairs from madebybenchmark. I have my sights set on one of the green lamps from the houseofdotcom and em.gurner collab when that launches v. soon 👏
